Town of Mayerthorpe is presently seeking a term contract Trade Show Assistant Coordinator responsible for assisting in the establishment of the inaugural Mayerthorpe Agri-food and Investment Trade Show. Reporting to the Economic Development Support Clerk, this position assists in the coordination of the trade show’s various event components.
Hours of work are based on 7 hrs per day, 3 days a week for a total of 21 hrs per week. Extended work hours, evenings and weekends, leading up to and during the trade show event. This fixed term contract position begins February and ends in May.
Qualifications and skills
Experience in project management, community events management, or trade show coordination.
Ability to network, develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
Project management experience is an asset.
Proficient in spoken and written English, Strong communication skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft applications.
Detail oriented approach with the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Applicants should own a vehicle, be in good physical condition to perform manual labour, able to lift up to 50lbs, and be mobile for 8+ hours. Fixed Term Contract length up to 4 months.
